Abstract submissions are now closed.

 

We are thrilled to launch the first edition of the Social & Moral Brain seminar, an international conference about Emotions, Others and Morality.

The Social & Moral Brain seminar is open to researchers in psychology and neurosciences, interested in morality, social influences, social learning, social interactions, empathy, emotions and brain synchronicity techniques.

The seminar will feature keynotes, talks, and poster sessions.

The seminar will take place on 16-17 October 2025, in Ghent University (Belgium) at the GUM museum (see picture here!)

Your participation

Abstract submission for talks and posters will be open from March 23rd to May 19th.

You can apply to the seminar by sending your abstract directly on our website. Instructions for the abstract can be found on our page Guidelines for submission.

The meeting is small (max. 60 participants) and features oral and poster presentations.

Our seminar will offer poster awards! At the end of the seminar, the 3 best posters will be announced.

The registration fee is €100 for early birds (until July 13) and €120 for registrations made by September 3.This fee covers participation to the seminar, all coffee breaks, two lunches and the 2-day conference. This is due only if you abstract is accepted, after you received the email confirming your attendance, at the moment of the registration. We will not ask to pay anything at the moment of the abstract submission.

A guided tour of the museum and gardens is available for an additional €5. This is optional.

Decision notification: early June

Confirmation of attendance and registration: July 13th (Early birds) and September 3rd (Additional registration).
